WorldCast Systems has announced the sale of multiple ECRESO FM Transmitters to OiV, the state owned broadcasting network operator in Croatia. The investment includes transmitters of all power levels from 100W up to 5kW as well as Ecreso retransmission units and APT audio codecs.

The WorldCast units have been deployed throughout OiV’s network, broadcasting the three main Croatian public radio stations as well as local radio programs. At five of the company’s medium sized transmission sites, a total of eleven 1000W and two 100W transmitters have been installed and, at two major sites in Papuk and Mirkovica, a total of six 5kW transmitters are set to provide a highly professional, redundant 3+1 configuration. The transmitters were purchased to replace outdated and previously leased equipment.
Bruno Cigrovski, the Supervising Engineer Designer within the Radio-communication networks department stated, “We find ECRESO FM transmitters to have an excellent price-quality ratio. The modular hardware architecture coupled with the extremely user-friendly software for remote control and monitoring makes it very simple to install and maintain the units. Our installation team experienced little or no difficulties and we received excellent support from the WorldCast Systems’ team.”
Given the good experience that they have had with WorldCast Systems’ equipment and the expertise that they have acquired in the process, OiV has now established itself as a regional maintenance centre and distributor for the company.
